Courchevel resort
ski lift system
The three Valleys skiing and snowboarding
region makes up the worlds largest interconnected lift system.
From Courchevel's ski and snowboard area it is possible to descend
into Méribel and then further on to Val Thorens and Les
Menuires. The sheer size of this ski and snowboard area insures
that skiers and snowboarders of all levels can find something
suitable and challenging. This region is a mecca for piste mileage
enthusiasts who travel here year after year and yet never manage
to experience every ski and snowboard run. A qualified ski instructor,
snowboard teacher or mountain guide will let you make the most
of this extensive region.
Courchevel, France
Courchevel is split into different satellite
villages at varying altitudes. Courchevel 1850 is not just the
highest in terms of meters but also in terms of affluence. The
sheer amount of top class hotels and chalets in this part of
Courchevel is unrivalled in any other French winter resort.
Courchevel 1650 has a different feel altogether and retains
much of the authentic appeal of a traditional alpine town. It
also offers greater value for money than its sister resort higher
up. Courchevel 1550 directly below 1850 has good links to the
ski and snowboard area and has grown in size and popularity
during the last few years. Le Praz or Courchevel 1300 is a delightful
place to be based with a good choice of restaurants and excellent
access to the main ski and snowboard area.
